About Professor Patrick Danaher, PhD
I have been a continuing university academic since 1991, working in three Australian higher education institutions. I also hold current and recent university adjunct and honorary appointments in five different universities in Australia and Finland.
As an academic, I have been privileged to co-supervise 57 doctoral theses and 4 research masters theses to completion in four Australian higher education institutions. I am also an experienced academic book author (N: 7, with 1 in-press and 1 under contract) and book editor (N: 28, with 1 under contract) in the fields of Education and Occupational Mobilities, Education Research, Qualitative Methods, Autoethnography/Self-Study, the Sociology of Education, Teachers' Work and Identity, and related fields. I have published nearly 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and more than 110 reportable chapters in edited research books. Currently, I am a member of the editorial boards of several international peer-reviewed journals.
I am an experienced consultant, and I have examined more than 50 doctoral and research masters theses in Australia, Canada, India, Mauritius, Singapore and the United Kingdom. I am available to conduct workshops and to present at conferences upon request.
Outside my academic interests, I appreciate the adoration of cats, I am an avid detective novel reader, I enjoy listening to the music of Ludwig van Beethoven and Nana Mouskouri, and I am a convert to the long-term benefits of reformer pilates and tai chi.
